商品簡介
This text was written as a general introduction to constitutional principles and practices in the United States for undergraduate students engaged in a variety of legal studies, including legal studies, paralegal, pre-law, and administration of justice students. Fourteen chapters address the standard topics of constitutional law, including the organization and powers of the various branches of government, constitutional limits on the power of federal and state governments, the power of judicial review, the commerce power, the tax power, war powers, and the various constitutional rights and liberties. The authors have included numerous pedagogical features, such as chapter outlines, hypothetical examples of constitutional dilemmas, guidance on vocabulary, summaries of legal rulings discussed in the chapters, examples of ethical dilemmas, questions for review and analysis, assignments and projects, and group activities. The material has been updated and has added discussion of some 50 new Supreme Court cases decided since the publication of the first edition.
