商品簡介
This collection of essays, presented as chapters, examines several social and political realities across North America. They are chiefly concerned with issues of migration, intergovernmental relations and national security, democracy, and economic integration across the continent. Though most are concerned with the contemporary, Altamirano (political science, U. of Alberta) explores the early settlement of North America as a founding condition for later development. A final section concludes by consolidating perspectives on North American integration and offering a critical account from a Mexican perspective. The contributors are professors of sociology, international relations, political economy, and science from each of the North American countries.
