MEMS, BioMEMS and Bioelectronics-Materials and Devices—Symposium Held November 28 - December 2, 2011, Boston, Massachusetts, U.s.a.

Symposium TT, Microelectromechanical Systems Materials and Devices V, held from November 28 30, 2011 at the 2011 MRS Fall Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts, explored the fabrication, integration, characterization, and application of small-scale electro-mechanical, thermal, magnetic, fluidic, and optical sensors and actuators. The scope of this multidisciplinary symposium emphasized efforts ranging from fundamental research to implementation in industry. Symposium II, BioMicroElectroMechanical Systems Materials and Devices, was held from November 28 December 1, 2011 at the 2011 MRS Fall Meeting, and explored the design, fabrication and applications of micro and nanoscale technologies for biomedical applications. Symposium HH, Bioelectronics Materials, Properties, and Applications, took place from November 29 30, 2011 at the 2011 MRS Fall Meeting. The seven sub-sections span a wide range of topics, including fundamental charge transport at the single-molecule level, new sensors and sensor materials, cellular bioelectronics and energy harvesting biomaterials and devices.
