Ⅰ. About the Letter
1. Letter A is an e-mail from the importer to the exporter, asking for easier payment terms, thatis, "Cash Against Documents on arrival of goods" or "Drawing on us at D/A 60 days' sight".Meanwhile the importer supports full reasons for his request and hopes this request can beaccepted by the exporter.
2. Letter B is an e-mail reply to the above in which the exporter declines the importer'srequirement with reasonable explanation. However, after careful study, the exporter iswilling to make an exception to accept D/P at sight for this trial order owing to long andmutually beneficial relationship. The exporter also stresses that this modification is for thistransaction only and cannot regard it as setting a precedent for future transactions.
