Somerman, DDS, PhD, formerly Dean and Professor, University of Washington School of Dentistry, is currently the Director of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, and Chief, Laboratory for Oral Connective Tissue Biology, National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
