商品簡介
Previously in two parts and now one book, this work develops the subject of number theory from the beginning, introducing techniques and results of classical and modern number theory. The first part is a self-contained treatment suitable as a first course for advanced undergraduates and beginning graduate students. Although calculus is used in two chapters, no other technical knowledge is required. Material in the second part requires a knowledge of the theory of analytic functions, and covers topics such as binary quadratic forms, algebraic numbers, and Dirichlet's Theorem. This is an unabridged republication of a book originally published by the Addison-Wesley Publishing Company, Inc., Reading, Massachusetts, 1956. Annotation c.
