Hans Hillmann: Das Visuelle Werk / The Visual Works

The A-5 is understood as a growing archive of graphic design. In numerous illustrations, essays, and interviews, this book focuses on the outstanding personalities and important themes from the history of international graphic design. A5 is a collaboration between the visual laboratory at the Department of Applied Sciences Dusseldorf and Lars Muller Publishers. Born in 1925, graphic artist Hans Hillmann is one of the most important poster designers and illustrators. As a professor of graphic design, he helped launch the career of many designers over the course of his 30-year teaching career. His illustrations have been used for years by publishers and magazines (including FAZ magazine).
