商品簡介
These essays address directly the problems faced by women of color in academia and offer specific, practical advice about ways to resolve them. The suggestions touch on all aspects of an academic's life, from the duty to attain time-management skills to the need to "learn who your friends are" and to "keep your soul alive." Battle (director, Advising Resource Center, California State U.) and Doswell (director, Graduate Recruitment, Retention and Diversity, U. of Maryland) provide charts and tables depicting institutions with women-of-color presidents and the career paths of some of those women.
