A Vision in Architecture

An important and stimulating architecture book on the momentous urban and town planning project in the city center of Istanbul. The competition brought in 117 firms, including Arquitectonica from Miami, Mario Botta from Switzerland, Coop Himmelb(l)au from Austria, and Vittorio Gregotti from Italy. The winners, Tabanlioglu Project and EAA Joint Venture Group, are developing the project. Suha Ozkan’s text focuses on the architectural competition, the Zorlu Center, the competitors, and their projects.

Dr. Suha Ozkan is the founding president of the World Architecture Community and the former director of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture. Philip Jodidio is the author of Rizzoli’s Tadao Ando at Naoshima and I.M. Pei: The Complete Works. Ahmet Zorlu is the chairman of the board of directors of the Zorlu Group.
