Shakespeare's Legal Language ― A Dictionary

In this reprint of the 2000 Athlone Press edition, B.J. Sokol (U. of London) and M. Sokol (U. College London) have compiled references to the numerous legal terms and themes in Shakespeare's works. They point out that The Taming of the Shrew is his only play not containing the words 'judge' or 'trial.' Providing further context to this unique, well-referenced dictionary, the Sokols note types of contacts with the law common in the Elizabethan era.
