Robert MacGregor Shaw lives alone in Edina, Minnesota. He has three friends. He does not have a radio, a television set, a dog, or a cat. He spends most of his time looking out a window, waiting for spring, and moping. His three daughters-in-law supply him with good-tasting food. Isabel Shaw, who illustrated this book, is his granddaughter.The Blessing is Shaw's fourth published book. Bachelor Slob in the Kitchen, won a first prize in the 2011 Midwest Book Awards.
