商品簡介
Calcatinge, an architect in the UK, offers a book-length treatment of his doctoral research about cultural landscapes and the future of symbolic spaces. The book is organized into two halves on theoretical approaches and applied perspectives. He examines the (Continental) philosophical import of space and vision for architectural design, the role of language in cultural identity formation, the geographic and architectural transformation in how cultural landscapes are studied and designed, traditions of psychogeography, and the virtual existence of the contemporary individual. In the latter half, he explores cultural planning as a tool for regional/urban development in a case-study and workshop essay. Distributed in the US by ISBS.
