Three contributors in social work and education examine issues confronting African-American youth and propose policy and programming recommendations for working with this population. They look at areas such as health, education, the criminal justice system, and youth development strategies, touching on challenges to Africa-American girls' self-esteem, ways to help teenage fathers, and unjust police policies.
