The Passion Of Teaching ― Dispositions In The School

In this collection of 15 articles, practitioners and academics describe how dispositions affect teaching and how looking at the dynamics of care, identifying caring behaviors, constructing caring environment, and facilitating caring in others can improve models of learning. Articles give an historical context, a rationale, and a model for defining the construct of caring in teacher education. Denise Skarbek is an assistant professor in special education at Indiana University-South Bend.James Hurst is a faculty member of the Counseling and Human Services program at Indiana University-South Bend. He is a licensed clinical psychologist, and he teaches graduate counseling courses in counseling theory, ethics, psychopatholgy, and group counseling.
