Professor Dimitriadis obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College in London and a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Fluid Dynamics from the University of Manchester. He graduated with a PhD degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Manchester, where he continued to work, first as a postdoctoral researcher and then as a lecturer. He was awarded an Advanced Research Scholarship from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council of the United Kingdom to study nonlinear aeroelasticity. He is currently Associate Professor in Fluid Structure Interaction and Experimental Aerodynamics at the University of Liege. His research interests include nonlinear aeroelasticity, unsteady aerodynamics, nonlinear dynamics, system identification and biological flight.
