商品簡介
The book emerged from a series of public dialogue forums in pursuit of accountable and transparent governance in Kenya, and concludes that the stability of Kenya will be driven by the extent to which citizens feel fully included in the development agenda. The main themes are the politics of exclusion/inclusion, the politics of identity, and channeling youth energies and expanding opportunities. Among the topics are natural resource governance and multi-stakeholder dialogue, deconstructing the mindset of poor communities on the coast of Kenya for socio-economic development, the Khadi's court and the constitution of Kenya, HIV as a delimiting factor for development in the Lake Basin region, and potential benefits of urban public transport in Nairobi.
