Massachusetts 5th Grade Math Test Prep ― Common Core Learning Standards

Our CCLS (Common Core Learning Standards) series for 5th Grade Mathematics version prepares students throughout Massachusetts for the required Common Core State Standards Initiative to test students' math proficiency. The emphasis is on representing and solving problems by developing fluency with addition and subtraction of fractions, and developing understanding of the multiplication of fractions and of division of fractions in limited cases (unit fractions divided by whole numbers and whole numbers divided by unit fractions); extending division to 2-digit divisors, integrating decimal fractions into the place value system and developing understanding of operations with decimals to hundredths, and developing fluency with whole number and decimal operations; and developing understanding of volume These standards are covered extensively by the practice problems. This book contains over 350 practice problems aligned to each Common Core State Standard. In addition the book contains an answer key to practice problems.
