商品簡介
In a detailed formal semantic and syntactic analysis of applicative arguments in German and English, Bosse surveys the different types of applicative arguments found in the two languages and provides formal tests and characteristics that differentiate the types. She covers affected experiencers, not-at-issue applicative arguments, benefactives, part-whole applicatives, the dative of inaction, and the co-occurrence of applicatives. The study is revised from her 2011 PhD dissertation at the University of Delaware. Annotation c2015 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
