商品簡介
In a combination of diachronic and synchronic perspectives, as well as case studies of individual books and series, Siebeck seeks to illuminate the history and context of translated children's books in New Zealand in order to explain how locally published translation have been marketed and received by critics and customers in recent years. A quantitative first part presents statistics and the history of literary translation in New Zealand. The second part looks at issues related to the development of children's literature and the conditions that influence its production and reception. The study is a slightly updated version of her 2013 PhD dissertation at Victoria University of Wellington. Annotation c2015 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
