Policy Transfer In Global Perspective

Social scientists and researchers and practitioners in social welfare and related fields, most from Britain but also Mexico and Mozambique, evaluate the implications of recent changes and challenges in both the study and practice of transferring policy across national boundaries. They argue that policy transfer can be a rational and progressive learning activity but only if the policy that is transferred is compatible with the value system of the recipient organization, is culturally assimilated through comprehensive evaluation, and builds on existing organizational strengths.
