Giuseppe Veltri is Professor of Judaism/Jewish studies at the Martin-Luther-Universitat Halle-Wittenberg and Direktor of the Leopold-Zunz-Zentrum zur Erforschung des europaischen Judentums. Among his publications are Eine Tora fur den Konig Talmai, (Tubingen, 1994); Magie und Halakha, (Tubingen, 1997) and Gegenwart der Tradition, (Leiden, 2002).Gerold Necker, Ph.D. (1999) in Jewish Studies, Freie Universitat Berlin, Lecturer in Jewish Studies at Martin-Luther-University Halle. His publications on medieval and early modern Jewish mysticism include Das Buch des Lebens, Tubingen 2001.
