商品簡介
This work was originally intended to serve as an introduction and manual to intellectual property, including its protection and marketing, for a U.S.-based workshop designed to train scientists in developing countries in applying biotechnology to plant agricultural products. Finding the first edition to be dated due to the changing nature of intellectual property law, the editors (both of the Institute of International Agriculture, Michigan State U.) have asked contributors to update the manual and have included new country case studies. Topics include the acquisition of protection for improved germplasm and inbred lines, transfer of intellectual property, farmers' rights over plant genetic resources in the South, and economic aspects of intellectual property rights. Twelve country and region case studies from Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe, and South America are included. Distributed by Oxford University Press.
