Helen was born in a small town in South Australia in 1967. She grew up on a sheep property near Penola with her parents, brother and sister. After completing her schooling she joined the Australian Regular Army as a musician and lived in many states of Australia, traveling all over the world. She has 3 beautiful girls and a devoted husband who still works in the Army. She has been teaching quilting, embroidery and stitching since completing a Certificate in Needlecraft in 1995 and began her current business Hugs 'n Kisses as a full time occupation in 2001. Her second business Pattern Press started in August 2008 publishing and distributing for other talented designers worldwide. Helen is the winner of numerous awards and has been published extensively in quilting and patchwork magazines worldwide.
