Charles Hauss is a both an accomplished academic and peace activist. A Professor Emeritus, he is a member of the Board of Directors and a staff member of the Alliance for Peace Building where he helps to coordinate relations with the United States government. He is the author of numerous books, including the leading textbook on comparative politics. In addition, Hauss has led several hundred workshops in places as diverse as West Belgrade, Maine and the West Bank in Palestine. In 2000, he joined the staff of Search for Common Ground, the world's largest conflict resolution NGO, for its project on U.S. domestic politics.
