商品簡介
Two sociologists (U. of Alabama), arguing that place of residence has a dramatic consequences for individual health and well-being, examine the ecology of disadvantage, especially as evidenced by the "urban health penalty" in the United States. They develop and apply a synthetic theory on the consequences of spatial structure for physical and mental health which takes into account the relationship between place and culture, the effect of place on an individual's access to health resources, the impact of place on risky circumstances, and a place's influence on social networks and supports.
