Adam Kirsch was born and grew up in Los Angeles, and now works as an editor in New York City. His poems have appeared in theParis Review, Partisan Review, Harvard Review, the Formalist, and elsewhere. A former assistant literary editor of theNew Republic, he writes regularly about poetry for that journal and for theNew York Times and other magazines and newspapers.
