Eight-time Sony Award and double Bafta winning writer, comedian and broadcaster Jon Holmes became a father for the first time in 2010. With a second child in 2012, he has had to fill in a hell of a lot of health forms over the past couple of years. The problem is, he's always had to leave the sections about hereditary illnesses blank because of one simple problem. He has no idea who his parents are. Born to an unmarried mother and an unknown father, Jon was adopted as a four week old baby just as the 1970s were arriving and grew up with new parents in Warwickshire in a haze of short trousers, long summers, oatcakes, a jealous dog, and a bionic man. Along with plenty of love. This is the story of how an unwanted baby in Stratford upon Avon went on to become a wanted man in the state of Texas, and everything that happened in between.
