Noting that companies heavy in intellectual property are increasingly doing business in countries that have a different system for and attitude about intellectual property rights than the company's home country, Vanhonnaeker investigates the level of convergence between the international investment law regime and the international legal regime regulating intellectual property rights. More specifically, he asks whether intellectual property and related rights qualify as an investment and are thus protected under international investment law. He finds that they cannot, that the two legal regimes cannot be integrated as they currently stand. Annotation c2015 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
