Born in Edmonton, north London in 1928, SIR BRUCE FORSYTH's extraordinary career has spanned some eight decades and has been recognised by Guinness World Records as the longest TV career of a male entertainer in the world. His first appearance was in 1938 but it was not until 20 years later that he became a household name when he was asked to host the biggest television show of the time,Sunday Night At The London Palladium.
