商品簡介
Dancing with Dharma provides readers with an interest in dance and/or Buddhism with the very first extensive study on Buddhist movement and dance, which focuses on continuous mindfulness of body. The goal of this examination is to bring Buddhists and Buddhism into the arena of spirituality and dance, which has been long dominated by Christianity, as well as to encourage Dharma dancers to feel more involved in the Western Buddhist movement and dance. The book is divided into six sections with topics on Movement, Dance, Performance, Ritual, Theory, and Guided Practice. Each section consists of essays provided by a variety of contributors in the field of Dharma dance; the final section, Guided Practice, is made up of instruction designed for both individual and group practice.
