Anthony Pereira is Director of the King's Brazil Institute and Professor at King's College London, UK. He is a keen observer of Brazil, analyzing the country's political, economic, and social transformation in the 20th and early 21st century. His articles have appeared in journals such as Luso-Brazilian Review, Human Rights Review, Constellations, Comparative Political Studies, Latin American Research Review, and Third World Quarterly.

Lauro Mattei is Professor of Economics at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil and Visiting Researcher at King's Brazil Institute, UK. Amongst his many articles and books, he has written on public policies in Brazil, and has published in Brazilian and international journals. He is a director of Brazilian Keynesian Association (AKB), director of the Brazilian Political Economy Society (SEP), and director of Brazilian Society of Rural Sociology and Economics (SOBER). He focuses his researches in the following subjects: Macroeconomics Theory, Economics Development, Labour Economics, Rural Development, and Social Policies.
