Mark Weakland is an author, educator, and musician. His books for children and teachers address topics ranging from comets and bacteria to reading programs. His children's books feature football players, pirates, Wile E. Coyote, and Scooby Doo, among others. As a reading specialist, Mark works with elementary school children. He also teaches parents and teachers. A musician at heart, Mark occasionally sings, plays percussion, and strums the guitar. His songs have won national awards and contests. He lives in Western Pennsylvania.
