商品簡介
The Fandaanano faith remained current among the Hadiyya people of southern Ethiopia through the 1970s, but had died out as a functioning socio-religious system before the late 1990s. Braukamper's fieldwork spanned that period: from when most people had converted to world religions but knowledge of Fandaanano was common, to when only a few elders remembered the old ways in romantic nostalgia. He begins by summarizing the Hadiyya and their country, then discusses the origin and character of Fandaanano as a socio-religious system, society and the individual, religion, and the legacy of Fandaanano traditions for the present society of the Hadiyya.
