A Policy of Hate ― Making a Deal With the Devil

After World War II, most of the Asia had gained independence from colonialism. This created a political vacuum that allowed authoritarian dictators and socialist regimes to take control. It would alter U.S. foreign policy and launch clandestine and covert operations to over-throw socialist regimes. In the end, the CIA sponsored freedom fighters would orchestrate coup d’état’s against CIA's target governments, but only to find that the freedom fighters were far worse than those they over-threw.
