商品簡介
This study inquires into the functions of the Palestinian colloquial dialect in its various manifestations--whether through phrases, expressions, and proverbs, or by evoking a folk atmosphere--in Palestinian short stories and novels composed in Israel, as reflected in their titles. In Ghanayim's present study, titles serve as a first step in analyzing the dialectical triangle of title, text, and context evident in a great many works of literature. He takes the approach that the title leads to the text and the text to the context, and finds that just as there is movement from the title to the context via the text, there is also movement in the reverse direction. This movement/energy thus works dialectically among the three points of the triangle whose sides imitate channels for transmitting and receiving influences.
