Read and Write Chinese

“Read and Write Chinese” is a textbook for the students who are pursuing B.A. 2nd year, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Chinese language and literature as a learning second language. The book is student friendly and infused with energy and enjoyment. This book is divided into four units. Each unit consist of different kind of stories, facts and cities description which make students(Users) to read and write in Chinese about their own thoughts. At the end of the every chapter there are additional words, which provide a totally a new look to the book. These additional words are taken from our day to day life . Which helps students to speak or explain their daily routine in Chinese language.“Read and Write Chinese” is a product of many years painstaking labour carried out with a passion and devotion to the cause of Chinese teaching. During the process of compiling this textbook, I have taken in consideration at latest research on the acquisition of Chinese as a second language, especially my own experiences of teaching Chinese as a second language and many other Chinese language teachers working on the front line. This textbook is divided into four units. Each unit contains practice sets to cope with the general needs of conducting daily communication, the sentence patterns and grammar are presented to students in an order that emphasizes functional usage and are arranged within situational topics. Necessary instructions have been given wherever required, so that learning Chinese and speaking become enjoyable. So, this textbook is designed and arranged the content on the basis of wide spectrum of knowledge and experience, both academic and practical.The book consist of a wide range of reading genre : stories, myths, legends, city description etc. thus providing them a complete literary experience. It also follows interactive and communicative approach to let the young learners acquaint themselves with all aspects of Chinese learning. Students have both a classical and contemporary approach with an attractive layout of colorful, vibrant real life illustrations and aim at making teaching-learning experience more students friendly, interesting and easily comprehensible. “Read and Write Chinese” has been made easy and exhaustive . It is designed to help and improve the capacity of the students to express their ideas and feelings and their ability to enhance their understanding of Modern Chinese language.While all efforts have been made to keep book error- free. But I look forward to feedback and constructive criticism from my users, which I will give due consideration in future editions.
