Norbert M. Samuelson ― Reasoned Faith

The core of the volume is four essays by Samuelson (b. 1936), a scholar of medieval and modern Jewish philosophy, a constructive theologian, and an early proponent of the dialogue of Judaism and science. They are introduced by an intellectual portrait and followed by a 50-page October 2012 interview with him. The essays discuss a critique of Rosenzweig's doctrine: whether it is Jewish and is believable, the God of the theologians, the concept of nichts in Rosenzweig's "Star of Redemption, and the challenges of the modern sciences for Jewish faith.
