Dr Scott Lyall is Lecturer in Modern Literature at Edinburgh Napier University. He is author of Hugh MacDiarmid’s Poetry and Politics of Place: Imagining a Scottish Republic (EUP, 2006), and has edited books on MacDiarmid and Lewis Grassic Gibbon.
