Bjarte Bogsnes (Stavanger, Norway) is Vice President Performance Management Development at Statoli, an international energy company with operations in 36 countries and 23,000 employees worldwide (listed on the New York and Oslo stock exchanges). He has a long international career in the oil business, both in Finance and Human Resources. As Group Controller for the petrochemicals company Borealis he headed the abolishment of budgeting in this company in the mid-1990s. Bosgnes has been advocating the "Beyond Budgeting" principles ever since. He is the Chairman of Beyond Budgeting Roundtable Europe.
