This is a unique and vivid account of combat service in Vietnam by an Air Force Academy graduate. John F. Flanagan was a first lieutenant and served as a forward air controller--flying single-engine spotter planes during the 1966 escalation stages of the war. He served with American, Korean, and Vietnamese forces, and for eight months he was assigned to Project Delta, the forerunner of the counter-terrorist Delta Force. Flanagan fought in the major combat areas of Vietnam--from the DMZ, south through the Central Highlands, and into War Zone C, adjacent to Cambodia--against both Viet Cong and North Vietnamese Army forces.
作者簡介
JOHN F. FLANAGAN was among the first graduates of the United States Air Force Academy and earned an MBA from Boston College. After Vietnam, he worked as an international business executive, a presidential exchange executive, and a college professor and business consultant in New York. He attained the rank of Brigadier General in the Air Force Reserve.
