Once every generation, members of the sinister Sect of Anubis gather to drink the blood of a human sacrifice, used as a vessel to contain the imprisoned spirit of a long dead Egyptian High Priestess called, Nebetah and thereby prolong their evil lives for another 34 years.
Now the time draws near for the next sacrifice and the Sect’s chosen victim, a young Ukranian woman called Angel, has escaped their clutches and is on the run somewhere in London. However the process that will see her become Nebetah has already begun and she is slowly transforming into a rotting mummy as the spirit of Nebetah consumes her soul.
Meanwhile, an ultra secret society, called the Pyramid Club, who are sworn to eradicate the evil of the Sect of Anubis are determined to rescue Angel before the Sect can find her and finish off their ritual. But now Ammit, the demon hell-hound, who guards the Ancient Egyptian Land of the Dead, has arrived to balance the books by either dragging Nebetah and Angel back to the afterlife or the Sect of Anubis. Either way there must be a reckoning!
作者簡介
Peter Milligan (writer) British writer with over 30 years experience. He first gained prominence with his work on the future war strip, Bad Company, which he wrote for 2000ad. He went on to create Johnny Nemo, Hewligan's Haircut and Bix Barton before being snapped up by DC comics as part of the later 1980's Brit Invasion. There, he created Skreemer for DC, as well as Skin for Thundra. He was commissioned to revamp Steve Ditko's: Shade the Changing Man and went on to become the regular writer on Animal Man, Batman and Hellblazer. In 2001, Peter moved to Marvel where he wrote X-Force and X-Static. More recently Milligan returned to DC to write Red Lanterns, Justice League Dark and Storm Watch.
Ronilson Freire (artist) Brazilian artist who has predominately worked for the US market. His credits include: The Green Hornet, Justice Inc: The Avenger, Vampirella and Ghostrider. While for the UK market, Ronilson has drawn Doctor Who.
