The World Traveler's Book of Quizzes

Thirty-five twenty-question quizzes (matching and fill-ins) test the traveler's knowledge on a variety of subjects of internal travel and history, such as where famous people were born; what cities have songs, novels and poems written about them; where are the sacred places of various religions; wha do you call somebody from Glasgow (a "Glaswegian") and twenty other places; what were the original names of famous cities, and what names are they known by the people who live in them? James A. Clapp, Ph.D. is Emeritus Professor of City Planning and Urban Affairs at San Diego State University. He led educational tours to Europe, the Middle East and Asia for twenty-seven years, during which he has visited over seventy countries and lived and taught in London, Paris and Hong Kong and lectured at several universities in Beijing and Shanghai and compiled information for this book. He has twice been an invited professor at the University of Paris and was a Fulbright Scholar in Hong Kong in 2000. He also writes fiction under the pseudonym Sebastian Gerard and posts essays on travel, cities, politics and media on his website, Dragon City Journal.
