作者簡介

James S. Olson is Professor of History at Sam Houston State University and the author of many books, includingHistorical Dictionary of European Imperialism (Greenwood, 1991), Historical Dictionary of the Spanish Empire (Greenwood, 1992), andAn Ethnohistorical Dictionary of the Russian and Soviet Empires (Greenwood, 1994).

Robert Shadle is a historian at Sam Houston State University. He was senior associate editor, also with James S. Olson, of theHistorical Dictionary of European Imperialism (Greenwood, 1991).
