作者簡介
The reformer John Calvin was born in France at Noyon in Picardy in 1509. Of him, Charles Spurgeon wrote, "The longer I live, the clearer does it appear that John Calvin's system is the nearest to perfection." He studied Hebrew in Basel where he published The Institutes of the Christian Religion. He ministered in Geneva and Strassburg. He was influential in France, Italy, Germany, Holland, England, and Scotland. Through his influence, thousands of new churches were established. He died on May 27, 1564.
