Joseph D. Rotman is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas. In 2010, he began keeping a list of every accountant mistake he observed, which ultimately turned into this book. In 2013, he received a significant promotion to corporate controller in part by employing concepts in this book.Joe's professional experience and varied roles allowed him to observe a myriad of accounting and finance professionals. Each workday was a day in the laboratory where Joe was able to make firsthand observations from the accounting trenches. He came to realize that the factors that contributed to accountant mistakes with his current employer were typically the same factors that contributed to mistakes with his previous employers, and that contribute to accountant mistakes throughout corporate America.
