商品簡介
Contributors affiliated with the Institution of Philosophy and Sociology at the Polish Academy of Sciences draw on recent social surveys to examine how Poland's social structures have changed under the impact of the shift from communism to democracy and capitalism, exploring aspects such as class, social mobility, status attainment, education, occupation, and income. The first part of the book reviews dynamics of class and stratification in Poland and overviews Polish sociology's investigations into class and stratification from 1945 to 2015, with special focus on the period from the 1970s to the 2010s. Later chapters give details on inequality in access to education, occupational classifications and scales in Poland since the 1970s, the impact of the 2008 economic crisis, and class voting during the period 1991-2011.
