David Barrett is Director of Pre-Registration Nurse Education at the University of Hull. After qualifying as a Registered Nurse in 1994, most of his NHS career was spent in Coventry, where he became Head of Nursing for Cardiac Services. He joined the University of Hull as a Lecturer in Clinical Nursing in 2002. His current role focuses on the delivery and development of pre-registration nurse education and research into the use of technology to enhance health and social care.
Benita Wilson is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Health and Social Care at the University of Hull. She has been a registered general nurse since 1982 and a district nurse since 1990. Her Bachelors and Masters degrees were in Psychology and Health Psychology respectively. Her academic interests include pain and pain management, and care planning.
Andrea was most recently a Lecturer in the Faculty of Health and Social Care at the University of Hull. She trained as a nurse at The Middlesex Hospital in London and worked in a variety of clinical settings in the UK. Andrea became a ward manager in Leicester on a surgical/urology ward, before becoming a nurse lecturer in Leicester. She joined the University of Hull in 1997, teaching on the pre-registration degree programme and some pos- registration courses. She completed a Masters in Women’s Sexual Health Studies at Hull and in 2012 completed a postgraduate certificate in Performance Coaching.
