Bob Barner is the creator of many popular children's books, including Dem Bones and The Day of the Dead/El Dia de los Muertos. He has won the Parents' Choice Award and the Teachers' Choice Award, and was honored as a San Francisco Library Laureate in 2004. Bob and his wife live in California.
