Tina Besley is Professor, Associate Dean and former Director of the Centre for Global Studies in Education at Waikato University. She is President, Philosophy of Education Association of Australasia, and founding President of the Association for Visual Pedagogies and has published widely in education on the topics of the philosophy of education, school counseling, educational politics and policy, research assessment in higher education, subjectivity, youth studies, interculturalism and global knowledge economy and cultures.Michael A. Peters is Professor of Education at the University of Waikato and Emeritus Professor in Educational Policy, Organization, and Leadership at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. He has published over 100 books, is Editor in Chief of Educational Philosophy and Theory and Open Review of Educational Research, holds Hononary Doctorates from State University New York and Aalborg University, Denmark, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand.
