Counseling the Culturally Diverse, 8th Edition, is a revised, essential version of the most widely-used text and resource on multicultural counseling, shortened by 10% to better fit into a semester format.

Chapters have been rewritten so instructors may choose to use them sequentially or in any order that best supports course goals. Helen A. Neville, PhD, is a Professor of Educational Psychology and African American Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she chairs the counseling psychology doctoral program.

Laura Smith, PhD, is an Associate Professor and the Director of Clinical Training in the Counseling Psychology Program at Teachers College, Columbia University.?
